Purple Kale is committed to food integrity, culinary creativity and ecological sustainability; we want to bring high quality, delicious and colorful food to the greater Seattle area while making as little impact on the environment as possible.

 
 
 

Food Philosophy

Purple Kale is passionate about using ingredients that are good for both you and the environment; we support sustainable agriculture wholeheartedly by sourcing ingredients from small, local organic farms and foragers and by using in-season produce exclusively. Animal welfare is also a matter of great importance to us; we make sure that all of the products we use come from animals that have been humanely and ethically raised.

 
 

Meet the Owner

Chef and owner Amanda Vidargas has catering in her blood. Raised in Chicago by foodie parents with a knack for entertaining, she grew up surrounded by a vibrant food culture that led her to culinary school and a professional career in the food industry. After moving to the Pacific Northwest, drawing inspiration from the lush surroundings, the abundance of year-round produce, and her life-long dream of saving the planet, Purple Kale was born. A creative perfectionist, Chef Vidargas seeks out only the best ingredients for her clients in order to produce unique and memorable meals.

 
 

Giving Back

Food donations

Any leftover food unwanted by the client will be donated to local homeless shelters and missions.
